Professional Association of Austrian Psychologists
The Professional Association of Austrian Psychologists (Berufsverband Österreichischer Psychologinnen und Psychologen - BÖP), was an important partner of the Association for Neuropsychology Austria (GNPÖ) from the beginning. The aims of the BÖP are to stimulate, assist and help to develop the psychosocial care in Austria within the fields of prevention, health promotion, treatment and rehabilitation. Further objectives are to protect the interests of the psychologists in regard to professional politics issues and to support their representatives facing public authorities, all kinds of institutions, other professional associations, individuals and the public.
The BÖP has appointed Sandra Lettner as a member of the scientific advisory board of the Austrian Academy for Psychology (Österreichische Akademie für Psychologie - ÖAP), which is the service organisation of the BÖP. As occasion demands, this scientific advisory board calls on the specific scientific knowledge of the clinical neuropsychologists. There is also a tight cooperation in regard to the pre- and postgraduate teaching. Seminars organized by the GNPÖ are also published through the advanced training program of the ÖAP. The certification to the Clinical Neuropsychologist is carried out in cooperation between BÖP and GNPÖ.
